Nova put one hand on Cirrus' arm. "He's fine," she said quietly. "At least, as far as I can tell." Sometimes it embarrass her that Cirrus was so overly protective of her, as though she couldn't fend for herself. Sometimes though, it was nice. At least someone was looking after her.

"You're wasting your time with the compliments," she told Izel. "My brother's been trying to get into his pants for years and if it hasn't worked for him..." She shrugged. "And don't you worry about that, he doesn't trust no one. Ain't the most personable demon out there, are you?" She gave him a friendly punch on the arm. "Izel, this is Cirrus, who I'm sure is completely able to speak for himself."

She looked up at him. "We're here...we're here...well, mostly because I decided to come, but...well, you know how it goes."

Cirrus could remember a time so long ago when he was genuinly friendly and carefree, but blood and betrayal had long since killed that. Not even Nova knew the details of the darkest parts of his life.

Chuckling at Nova's 'reason for visit', Cirrus visibly relaxed. Recalling Izel's comments about being familier with the region in general, he decided that the appearance of the man could prove advantageous.

Cirrus held out a hand."I assume you speak the native tongue? Linguistically, we've been pretty well fucked."Leaning in a bit, and talking softer to try and avoid Nova's ear, he whispered, "If you stalk her, you'll be in shit so deep you'll scream for death."

ooc: totally made you shake hands with cirrus for that to work >.< sorry!!

Izel shrugged. "I've really got to learn Spanish, yeah... It's a bit of a drawback that I don't know it yet. A bit sad, too."

Cirrus gave him a bit of a threatening message, and Izel raised his eyebrows, and said calmly, "I have never ever stalked Nova, and was never EVER planning to. I was joking." Izel looked at him, evaluating. He was definitely her bodyguard; that much was obvious. But it wasn't just a job, either. Izel nodded, understanding there was a protective friendship here, and let go of Cirrus's hand, a smile spreading on his face as he turned back to Nova.

"So, badda bing, you're in Venezuela. On a whim. Definitely the way to go here. Anything in particular you may be looking for?"

He shifted, scanning the crowd. "I mean, it's not like you can find good tourist shops around here, no interesting Hugo souvenirs." Sarcasm was something that popped up for him now and again.

OOC: I just wanted to post something so I wasn't keeping you two waiting. Short, I know.

"Unholy Darkness, Cirrus, lighten up, for once," Nova said with a grin, punching him playfully on the arm. "I'm a big girl. I can fend for myself." She folded her arms and rolled her eyes exaggeratedly. "He's really just a big teddy bear," she told Izel in a loud, carrying whisper. "Total sweetheart."

She knew she was gonna get it later, but whatever. This was one of her favorite games: Piss off the Cornugon.

She gave a little shrug. "I'm lookin' for what I'm always looking for," she said casual. "Mayhem. Mischeif. Perhaps a little wholesale slaughter." She probably shouldn't joke, but it was only half jest. That was what she looked for on earth most of the time.

Mhmm. Sure. Total sweetheart. Made of 100% genuine demonic fur fluff and other teddy bear stuff." Cirrus laughed and crossed his arms. "And I'm sure rhyming will just prove you right."

Cirrus decided that the newcomer wasn't an immediate threat. Didn't mean he was gonna trust him in the least, but he didn't think this guy meant any harm. As if I'd trust anyone other than Sarge. Not like this guy has proven himself like she has.

"As amusing as this is, we should keep moving. I know you don't care how long it takes to get there Sarge, but I'm worried. Not for you, for the locals. Besides." Cirrus made an exaggerated motion of sniffing the surroundings and looking at a particularly crusty looking man lying passed out not 5 feet away. "I'm sure we would all prefer to be somewhere a little less disgusting right now. Besides, I could use something to eat, and I'm sure something here would manage to kill me. Shall we?" extended his arm in an invitational manor in the general direction they had been traveling.

Izel looked at Cirrus. It would take a while for the two of them to warm up, it seemed, but he could deal with that. He'd just cut his goofiness down a bit. Honestly, what he wanted to do was give the guy a huge hug, and ask him if he wanted a strong drink or something, but there was a bit more than a niggling feeling that such a gesture would NOT go down well.

"Well, there are a few good places in that direction..." Izel nodded in the direction that Cirrus indicated. "At least, I think there are. I haven't really been here for too long, and it's possible I got turned around."

He walked in that direction, looking around. Contrarily, he loved the people everywhere. Crowds were always such interesting subjects. He watched a few people, here and there, and smiled as a child pushed by, running in pursuit of her friends. A smile here, a bit of joy there... That's what he found. Beauty.

A glance back at Nova and Cirrus, and he grinned. "You guys coming?"

OOC: My apologies for taking any extraneous amounts of time in posting. *bows deeply* I shall try harder in the future to be prompt.

Nova sighed and followed Izel. She hated being lost and she hated getting shepherded around by Cirrus. "You gotta learn to have more fun, Corp," she muttered up to him so Izel couldn't hear. "Maybe you learn that, maybe I take you more fun and exciting places, yeah? We go have a good time, it's better. Get the fucking stick out of your goddamned ass, hey?"

She knew she shouldn't snip, but she was annoyed that he was playing protector. She was a big girl. Too big for a babysitter.

Annoyed, she caught up with Izel. "So," she said with a grin. "You come here often?"

OOC: Short. Sorry. Finals.
